When shopping for a battle royale gaming monitor, prioritize refresh rate and response time above everything else. You want at least 144Hz, but 240Hz or higher gives you a significant advantage in fast-paced shooters where every frame matters. Response time should be 2ms or faster (measured as GTG or MPRT) to minimize ghosting and blur when tracking moving targets.
Resolution is a trade-off: 1080p at high refresh rates (180Hz+) is ideal for competitive play because it's easier to run and reduces input lag. QHD (2560×1440) at 165Hz+ works if your GPU can handle it, but don't sacrifice refresh rate for resolution. OLED panels offer superior contrast and near-zero input lag, but they cost significantly more.
